The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has reported systems issues, which began last week, and to- date, is not resolved. This is impeding the timeliness of importing marine (ocean) cargo.
Over the past several days, CBSA has been unable to process some ocean carrier documents as a result of issues around their national marine cargo control system, consequentially causing delays around customs release.
Currently, CBSA is reporting these issues related to processing marine cargo entry (customs release) at the following ports of entry:
Port Name
809 Metro Vancouver
495 Toronto
395 Montreal
009 Halifax
Delmar International closely monitors all CBSA systems issues and makes every effort to minimize additional costs or delays related to them. However, importers and related parties should be aware that such delays or costs may be unavoidable in some cases.
Please contact your local Delmar Representative for additional information and assistance.
