Time is running out for importers to request updated certificates, replacing the NAFTA certificates that are set to expire on June 30th.
The new trade agreement between Canada-US-Mexico (CUSMA / USMCA) comes into effect July 1st, and unless importers have obtained new certificates of origin from their suppliers, those products may be subject to duty under the Most Favored Nation (MFN) Tariff Treatment.
We have attached a fillable certificate of origin for the new trade agreement in both English and French should you need to provide a copy to your suppliers.
Canadian importers can email the completed certificates to advisoryservices@delmar.ca and US importers can send the completed certificates to advisoryservicesusa@delmarusa.com.
For additional information please contact your local Delmar representative.
