Reminder: U.S. Section 301 Tariffs Effective December 15, 2019 for Chinese Products on List 4B

U.S. importers are reminded that Section 301 tariffs for Chinese products on List 4B are scheduled to go into effect Sunday December 15, 2019. List 4B contains many consumer electronic products and represents the bulk of the remaining U.S. imports from China not already subject to a Section 301 tariff.

A 15% Section 301 tariff is scheduled to apply on all applicable List 4B products entered on or after December 15, 2019. A 15% Section 301 tariff has been applied to List 4A products as of September 1, 2019.

Importers may file a tariff exclusion request with the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) here for List 4A products. List 4A product exclusion requests must be filed by January 31, 2020.

Delmar International will continue to monitor U.S. Section 301 trade developments and provide updated information as it is made available.

Please contact your local Delmar Representative or email our U.S. Customs Advisory Services Group for additional information and assistance.
