Canadian National Railway (CN) and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC-CTY), the union representing 3,200 CN Conductors, Trainpersons and Yardpersons, have reached a tentative agreement, ending the week-long strike.
This agreement will allow for CN employees to return to work at 2 p.m. local times Tuesday. Yard assignments will begin at 6 a.m. local times Wednesday. Note that there will be no job action during the ratification period. The results of the ratification votes are expected within 8 weeks.
CN has advised that some delays are to be expected as the surge of backlogged traffic works its way through the rail network. We would also like to advise Delmar customers that Intermodal (international and domestic) specific freight was/will likely continue to be minimally affected. If you have specific concerns about urgent cargo, please contact your local Delmar Representative.
Delmar would like to thank its customers for their patience during this period of CN cargo slowdown.
