Please be advised that The Teamsters Canadian Rail Conference – Conductors, Trainpersons and Yardpersons (TCRC-CTY), representing 3,200 Canadian National (CN) employees in Canada, went on strike at 12:01 a.m. ET on Tuesday, November 19. CN and TCRC-CTY continue to negotiate in good faith to reach a fair agreement.
CN Managers will attempt to maintain a certain level of service. While it is still very early, Delmar customers can anticipate some service disruptions. We continue to closely monitor the situation.
Historically, the Canadian Government has helped expedite a resolution to avoid a prolonged work stoppage. We remain hopeful that both sides will reach a quick settlement.
Delmar is pleased to offer several contingency options, including a Canadian West/East Coast transload and truck or intermodal solution to expedite any urgent containers to final destinations across Canada and the U.S. Midwest.
For more information related to contingency options and pricing, please contact your local Delmar Representative.
