CN Labor Dispute Could Cause Work Stoppage Beginning November 19, 2019

Please note that The Teamsters Canadian Rail Conference – Conductors, Trainpersons and Yardpersons (TCRC-CTY), representing 3,200 CN employees in Canada, issued a strike notice over the weekend that could occur as early as Tuesday, November 19.

CN advises that it continues to negotiate in good faith to reach a fair agreement before the strike deadline. CN has also confirmed that in the event of a work stoppage, it does not have enough qualified managers to maintain safe operations across its Canadian network. Should employees decide to strike, customers should anticipate service disruptions.

Delmar will continue to closely monitor the situation and enact contingency solutions to complete customer shipments should a work stoppage occur.

If you have urgent cargo requirements, please contact your local Delmar Representative.
