Please note that there are release delays at the Canadian border due to processing times. The delays affect shipments or items that are subject to clear through the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), with delays in some cases of up to 24 hours.

This delay could impact importers monetarily, as carriers could possibly charge waiting time, or other additional charges which are beyond Delmar’s control.

Delmar is currently assisting carriers and importers by suggesting they call the CFIA National Import Service Centre (NISC) at 1-800-835-4486 to verify their wait time.

Delmar will continue to strive to efficiently submit and monitor the customs releases for our customers and are closely following the situation with CFIA.
