The text of the long-awaited Canada-United States-Mexico Free trade Agreement is now available on the Government of Canada Website.
Although no implementation date has been set, the agreement is expected to take effect sometime in 2019.
Rules of origins remain largely unchanged, however the certification process is significantly different from the current NAFTA process, with certification of origin being able to come from the Importer, Exporter, or Producer of the qualifying goods. A formal Certificate of Origin document is no longer required.
The text of the agreement can be found here: https://international.gc.ca/trade-commerce/trade-agreements-accords-commerciaux/agr-acc/cusma-aceum/text-texte/toc-tdm.aspx?lang=eng
The origin procedures can be found in chapter 5 of the above link.
