Harbour truck operators at Jawaharlal Nehru Port (Nhava Sheva) took their vehicles off the roads yesterday morning and have called for an indefinite strike to pressure authorities to reconsider a regulated transport system rolled out on May 1st.
Roads are being blocked to and from the port, and as a result all export and import container movements from CFS locations to the port have ceased.
Delmar will continue to monitor the situation, and handle ocean freight cargo movements as events allow, however due to the abovementioned work disruption delays can be expected.
