The Canadian Apparel Federation together with Global Affairs Canada will be presenting an update on the state of the NAFTA negotiations. The session has been scheduled to coincide with Apparel Quebec’s annual meeting next Wednesday.
Many domestic manufacturers are heavily reliant on the US market, and of those – many are dependent on using Tariff Preference Levels (TPL’s) to obtain duty-free access under NAFTA. In addition, many Canadian importers are reliant on northbound TPL’s for US imports.
As you may be aware, the US wants to eliminate the TPL system in its entirety. This seminar will provide background on where the negotiations are, and put these issues in context. To register and for more information please see the attached link.
