Strike Planned at Jakarta’s Tanjung Priok Port

Indonesia’s main port, Tanjung Priok, faces a strike with planned combined action by workers at both the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) and ICTSI-PBM Adipurusa terminal.

International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) union members will be on strike at JICT from August 3-10, 2017.

The workers say they are striking over pension rights and performance bonuses in the course of negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement.

Delmar will continue to monitor the situation and handle ocean freight cargo movements as events allow, however due to the proposed strike action some delays may occur.

For additional information please contact your local Delmar representative.
