CN and Teamsters reach Tentative deal/Delmar Contingency Solution

Canadian National Railway (CN) and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC-CTY), the union representing CN’s conductors in Canada, have reached a tentative agreement, averting a planned strike.

North American intermodal shippers using CN’s Canadian network were preparing for potential delays after the TCRC warned of a strike early morning Tuesday.

Details of the labour contract are being withheld pending ratification by the union’s membership that will take up to 60 days.
In light of this uncertainty, Delmar is pleased to provide a Vancouver transload/truck solution to expedite containers to final destinations across Canada and the US Midwest that are moving via the port of Vancouver in the event of any future strike action during the summer months.
The below long-haul trucking costs will apply for containers discharged, customs cleared and transloaded into domestic trailers to these final destinations:
$4895 USD 5-6 day transit
$5895 USD 3 day transit
$4495 USD 5-6 day transit from VCR
$5395 USD 3 day transit
$4595 USD 5-6 day transit
$5395 USD 3 day transit
$4795 USD 5-6 day transit
$5595 USD 3 day transit
$4495 USD 5-6 day transit
$5395 USD 3 day transit
There will also be a 1000 USD per 20’ and 1200 USD transloading cost that will include container pick up and empty return. Additional fees such as but not limited to diversion charges and any other extraordinary costs may apply.
Delmar will continue to monitor the labour situation and provide regular updates accordingly.
