A planned indefinite major ports’ strike in India has been called off to give time for further talks. Sources said the Indian government had been making vigorous efforts to block the indefinite nationwide strike. Another round of negotiations with officials from the Indian Ports Association would be held on April 21 in an attempt to reach a longer-term settlement over India’s port privatization plans.
Delmar will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates if warranted.
