Source: Port of Halifax; CN
In the aftermath of two snow storms that hit the East Coast of Canada last week, services at the Port of Halifax have been significantly impacted. Ceres terminal is currently working 24/7 to clean up a backlog of containers, including working this Saturday and Sunday. CN reported that they have a good supply of railcars at both Ceres and Halterm, but expect an average dwell time of 7 days until they get caught up, which could take up to 2 weeks. Delmar will continue to monitor the situation and handle ocean freight cargo movements as events allow, however under the current circumstances delays can be expected. Additional information may be obtained by contacting your local Delmar representative. |
